Chat moderators are users who can remove (kick) disruptive users from Special:Chat. They can also prevent users from joining the chat by adding them to the blockedfromchat user group. This group is assignable by both admins and bureaucrats. The group can be used for testing, but should be removed when done as all rights included in this group are redundant to the admin group.
