This right is automatically granted to stewards and system administrators, who can assign it to themselves. As of April 2025, non-steward suppressors (NSS) are no longer being appointed. The community reached a clear consensus to abolish the NSS role going forward. One existing NSS, [[User:X|X]], will retain suppression rights until resignation or promotion to steward. Afterward, only stewards and system administrators will have access to suppression.
