Template:

Template/doc:
v · d · e
This Creative Commons license template is intended to be used if you are:
- The copyright holder.
- Want to release your file under the following license: Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0)
There are two ways to include this license for your work: as wikitext in the Summary box or via the Licensing drop-down list. Because this license uses attribution, it is recommended you include your name/username (or however you would like to recognised) in the license. With this included in the template others who use your work will be able to use attribution to recognise you as the author.
Example 1: Using the drop down selector
Using the drop-down method will automatically include the license under a separate level 2 heading but without the attribution filled in. This is the easiest method if you do not need to include your name inside the license, however, for own work with this license it is not recommended. If an image is uploaded using this method, you can edit it afterwards to include your name.

Example 2: Using wikitext inside the information box
Filling in the information like this is a recommended option as you have full control how your attribution is shown within the license:

The above will render as:
Example 3: Using a separate level 2 heading
By omitting the license text from the Permission/license field in the information template, you can utilise a separate license section by including it under a level 2 heading like this:
Licensing
Which will render as:

Final note
It doesn't really matter which method you prefer as long as you, the copyright holder, are properly credited for your work should it be used by someone else. To ensure this is the case, always fill your name in the author field and the attribution section of the license.
