Tvars[edit source]

Hello, welcome to Test Wiki. Our tvars here tend to be a helpful abbreviation (to make translating an easier job). Unless a new link is added, they shouldn't be numbers. Thanks! Justarandomamerican (talk) 15:39, 28 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Retain[edit source]

Bureaucrat[edit source]

Dear, Justman10000 I saw here, that you had requested bureaucrat rights, which were granted by user Gepard, but not allowed by our Test Wiki:Bureaucrat policy. If I see this, it is also clear that you are not yet familiar with our Inactivity policy and other Policies. Would you please go read them, before you can go apply for bureaucratic rights again in three days? Moreover, grace period are usually set only a few weeks before inactivity regulation takes effect. A month of inactivity is way too early to do that. Greetings, Drummingman (talk) 10:07, 29 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

It is a system account! As the reason says, one could even give it steward, as it is not used by a user! And neither did I know the second, nor is it mentioned anywhere Justman10000 (talk) 10:58, 29 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Drummingman: I'm sorry. I know the policy and granted the rights because I thought the User will make no bad edits and had expierience from Wikimedia projects, but I was wrong. Infinityboy7 granted me crat rights until I was active for nearly a day, so I thought this would be also okay. Again my apologises, Gepard talk 11:00, 29 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
I know the MediaWiki software and its functions! But I didn't know the second thing mentioned, because it's not mentioned anywhere Justman10000 (talk) 11:02, 29 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
At that time, the policy was not yet in place. But I understand the confusion, we still have to get used to it as a community :-). Greetings, Drummingman (talk) 12:56, 29 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
And @Justman10000 and Gepard: you can always ping steward to make exceptions for someone The AP (talk) 13:38, 29 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello[edit source]

Hello @Justman10000 and Jody: I am not very active these days, but I will try to be active. Will my sysop rights be taken away? Lionel Cristiano (talk) 13:06, 29 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Lionel Cristiano: You have sysop permissions since Jody restored your rights. If you are longer than 3 months inactive, your rights will be revoked (see Test Wiki:Inactivity policy), but you can ask to restore your rights at any time. Gepard talk 13:20, 29 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Ok thanks. Lionel Cristiano (talk) 17:28, 29 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

System administrator[edit source]

This request will likely be rejected due to the votes being all oppose. Tailsultimatefan3891 (talk) 20:43, 2 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hey!Justaman10000, You're request for Systemadministrator privileges are now closed by MacFan4000 for this reason per above strong opposition. I think you need to more active on here and try to gain more experience from other experienced editors on here, I hope one day you are working here as system admin. Happy testing ---Infínítybσy7[@píng mє] 17:35, 3 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Do one always have to repeat that? I've realised that nobody wants me Justman10000 (talk) 18:55, 3 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Dear, Justman10000, it's not that no one wants you. But people voted against you because they were concerned about your suitability. Moreover, you applied for our most sensitive right we know. So, then you should expect us to thoroughly investigate your suitability. So don't take it too personally. :) Greetings, Drummingman (talk) 19:06, 3 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I may not have been registered for long, but that doesn't mean I'm not qualified! And if one would just give me a chance, one would know that too Justman10000 (talk) 19:16, 3 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Steward request/Global[edit source]

@Justman10000: The page Steward request/Global is actually used for requesting Global related rights or anything from Steward and I saw that you imported that page or you did it manually but the content there was of Meta Wiki and actually can I know that what is the purpose of this page as Test Wiki don't have any other projects or anything so what is the need of this but If you have done this there might be an purpose behind it If think can I know the purpose or have you any plan. Nexovia (talk) 12:06, 25 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

I wanted to test a script that I wrote to be able to report IPs to the original page in a passive-automated way Justman10000 (talk) 12:35, 25 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Ohh! I thought you did as non test edit for serious purpose with some plans. Nexovia (talk) 12:59, 25 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

No need to set grace periods[edit source]

Hello Justman10000, I hope you're doing well. I want you to let you know that Inactivity Bot is active and is now responsible for sending out inactivity notifications as well as removing rights. Thus, manual intervention is not required anymore. I hope you understand The AP (talk) 04:33, 8 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

An additional note: if you could refrain from testing on other user’s talk pages, that would be great. Thanks. X (talk + contribs) 16:43, 8 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
I wanted to expand the bot myself with an opt-out function! I can also stop providing my support! It's not wanted anyway! Justman10000 (talk) 19:36, 8 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Neither TheAstorPastor or myself is saying your support is unwanted, we are simply informing you of new things on the wiki that don’t require you to put effort into because they have been automated. Additionally, the bot’s opt-out function is controlled by the bots code, and therefore operators. It isn’t controlled by the page that was created. Hope this helps! X (talk + contribs) 20:55, 8 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
I realise that! I think that everyone should be able to decide for themselves whether they want to be notified! Justman10000 (talk) 22:44, 8 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
I mean, you're not in it either! Justman10000 (talk) 22:45, 8 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
The opt-out is not for the notification, it is for the rights removals. That list exists so stewards and approved bots aren’t affected. X (talk + contribs) 22:54, 8 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
I didn't find anything about this in the code! I have only seen that the code checks when notifying! But that's what I thought Justman10000 (talk) 23:10, 8 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
I don't believe an opt-out is needed, as the feature closely resembles what happens when a user manually applies grace periods and notifies them. Additionally, I’ve been considering cleaning up the bot’s code since it’s currently a mix of several versions—even though it still functions properly. While working on this cleanup, I realized the notification might not be essential, but I’d like to hear the community’s thoughts on it as well. The AP (talk) 16:47, 9 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Your creation of "Test Wiki:Request for permissions/Archive 16"[edit source]

Hello there, I noticed you created the abovementioned page for archiving. However, I noticed that Test Wiki:Request for permissions/Archive 15 still had space left (from observation of some other archive pages it looks like the limit is 50 sections). Therefore, I moved the contents (see Special:Diff/61619) and deleted the page (see Special:Redirect/logid/63732). Kindly let me know if I made a mistake. Thanks, Tester () 11:52, 9 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

"Rage quit" and other conduct issues[edit source]

Hello, Justman10000, I have noticed numerous issues with your behavior. First, you quit whilst being angry because you couldn't become a Steward/Sysadmin (which, in and of itself, is entirely understandable, we have a natural desire to walk away from things that are making us angry), but then, you returned, and proceeded to revenge oppose, due to your dislike of the community a stewardship nomination. Then, you made a very, very loud grievance against the community on the community portal, which is having me, along with the rest of the Stewards, thinking that you either need to: drop the stick, or be blocked. Thank you, Justarandomamerican (talk) 14:01, 9 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Well, if you want to lose the only one who really cares about the translations and could have improved some of the system administration, go ahead! But that would also contradict the argument that my work is not unwanted!

If one is used to being the complete failure all one's life, who can't get anything done, who nobody wants to give a chance at anything... well... and... which one of us applied to be a sysadmin? And which one of us got it?

Don't give someone a chance who hasn't known it any other way all his life and take away what he actually wanted, but then don't be confused by his behaviour! And believe me, I still handle everyone with kid gloves!

I also never mentioned that the stewards or you are not worthy of their position, like I said, but I also mentioned... that also applies to me! And without a chance...

But if one even threatens me with a block because I want to justify myself and my intentions... well... then I really am not wanted here!

By the way... You can say lot! After all, you got your chance! Well... and me? Justman10000 (talk) 15:54, 9 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Jeez, calm down with your behavior. And please do not do this and that, especially with the excesive exclamation marks. Codename Noreste (talk) 01:15, 10 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
